BUBBLE UP MY WORLD

Hi Lovelies

That time of year is around the corner and oh what a Christmas Cheer. I can't say how much fun i have had trimming my tree and getting all of my Christmas shoppings done. I wanted to share a product in particular, the Soda Stream machine. This is my little treasure this year, i just finished testing it and it is amazing! I actually did not expect that many bubbles. The quality of the sparkling water is very good and it's fun and easy to make. Once i was all set up it took me 2 seconds to make sparkling water. This way i get to reduce plastic waste and not use as many plastic bottles. I love this brand because they are earth friendly and fighting for a sustainable world. I have been challenged to reduce my plastic waste for a week, i have actually brought that challenge to the next level, using no plastic for seven days. Ha how i can say this is not an easy task, look around next time you are doing your shoppings, or check your shoppings next time you get home. I can guarantee you that 80% of all your shoppings consist of plastic wrapping. So little things like this, consuming tap water, making your own sparkling water, separating your waste, using cotton shopping bags or recycling them. These are all little things that will help our planet. I know it is a bigger issue, but i try to be sustainable in my own way and give back by being more conscious about certain things. This is why i would like to ask the same of you! THANKSGIVING DINNER

So as you all know and have read in my weeks of planning and posting about Thanksgiving it has been the best night, after cooking all day and making amazing dishes it is just the best feeling to see your guests enjoying the meal you have prepared all day. I cooked a turkey, made a scalloped sage  potato casserole, a sweet potato marshmallow/pecan casserole, carrots with parmegiano and stringbeans in a mushroom soup. It was delicious and we all enjoyed an amazing meal and said our grace, we listened to jazz music and enjoyed our wine. So to show you all what an amazing night we had i will post some pictures. HAIR SECRETS

I had been contemplating getting highlights again, because my own highlight where almost completely gone. I had a certain natural sun kissed coupe for 2 years, but lately it had been taken over by my natural hair colour dark brown. Somehow my hair is getting darker, the older im getting haha at least i still have color, although i must share with you that i found two grey hair since summer (OMG, what is happening?) Soooooo to get back on track, i chose to get some balayage and it was magnificent. My hair has never looked this magical, my jaw dropped. You know the awkward feeling you always have when you sort of look like a boy in the hairdresser chair with a cape around your neck, having your head popping out looking horrible because your hair is pulled back and wet. I have that each time...it is always very exciting when they are blowdrying your hair and you are just waiting for the results. So it is safe to say that my expectations where blown out of the water, i always hope and hope the results will be amazing but that is not always the case. But this time i was surprised in a good way. So if you are thinking about getting yourself some highlights or balayage then you should, because it really brightens your whole appeal. It gives you the glow you want to have especially during winter times feeling all gloomy and cold. Hope you will take the same leap i did, because i am so happy with my results! I got my hair done at Flawser Embassy in Amsterdam, but i am sorry to say that they have recently gone bankrupt. The hairdresser that did my hair is still working as a hairdresser and she has found herself a loyal client, because i will follow her anywhere! Because my beauty mantra is - hair is holy

PICTURE PERFECT

So i wanted to share a collaboration i had with Fotofabriek, a great online company to get your pictures printed on anything. They have calendars, picture books, wall decorations and much much more. I love making beautiful pictures and having them displayed in my home. I tried out a picture on plexiglass and it looks amazing. I sent in a picture of my Pompom Soe, because she is the little model and the results looked where great. The quality is remarkable, you can see every hair in the picture.  I got my picture with hooks so i can hang it up on the wall, but i love just leaning all of my frames against a wall or on a cabinet. They offer a very easy online editor where you can make your own picture perfect. It would serve as a great Christmas or birthday gift as well. My dad is actually turning 80 next month and i have a beautiful picture i want to have blown out on a canvas, because how great are personal gifts right?
